Running a badminton tournament

Club nights usually run several small draws — singles, doubles, mixed — rather than one big one. Generate a separate bracket per event and print them side by side.

Court availability is the constraint. Four courts turn a 16-player draw into a comfortable evening.

Match length

20–40 minutes (best of 3 to 21)

Typical field

8 to 32 entries per event, two to six courts

16 players

15 matches as a knockout, 30 as double elimination
